This soul-southing recipe is a stress-relieving tonic that I created in 2015
during the cold & flu season. It's unbelievably healthy and so easy to make.

Make it with any organic green tea. Today we are using Mistletoe Sangria.
A new tea that I hand-flavor and blend for the Holidaze Tea Sampler box.

This blend is perfectly sweet and tart like an old-time tea tonic with zesty
digestive organic Sencha, organic ginger, organic lemon verbena,
and organic lemongrass. The hibiscus, apple, and passion-fruit lend a
lovely natural sweetness.

What's in Mistletoe Sangria?
  • Certified Organic Sencha
  • Certified Organic Lemon Verbena
  • Certified Organic Lemongrass
  • Certified Organic Ginger
  • Certified Organic Cranberries
  • Certified Organic Anise
  • Certified Organic Apple
  • Certified Organic Hibiscus
  • Certified Organic Elderberries
  • Certified Organic Orange Peel
  • Certified Organic Passionfruit
  • Natural Lemon and Passionfruit Flavors

I chose the ingredients in this blend for immune health, digestion,
to reduce inflammation, and stress relief. The ingredients are chock
full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

Mistletoe Sangria is soothing on its own, yet our recipe includes a
few more fresh ingredients to amplify all the good that this tea
has to offer. Most importantly, fresh lemon

Did you know?
In a study published by the Journal of Food Processing and Technology,
lemon juice brings out green tea's antioxidants making them more
readily available for absorption by the body.

Plus, the fresh spearmint, ginger, pure pomegranate juice, and honey
make an excellent remedy for sore throats and have additional
stress-relieving benefits.

For each cup you will want to add a slice of fresh lemon, a few sprigs
of fresh spearmint, fresh sliced ginger.  Muddle these ingredients in the
bottom of your mug.

Next, add a heaping teaspoon of tea to a filter or tea infuser.
Add 6 oz. of hot water and steep in the mug with the muddled ginger,
lemon and spearmint.  Steep for three to four minutes.

Remove the infuser and add 2 oz. of pure pomegranate juice.

Enjoy this cozy drink anytime you need a self-care break, sip after dinner
as a soothing tonic for digestion, and use anytime to relieve a scratchy throat.

Ginger, lemon & mint…great combination! I have never had pomegranate juice either. I would never have thought of this combination.
Another great one to try!
